As it turns out, Radiohead, one of the most important and popular bands of the last few decades, were enlisted to create the title track for James Bond's Spectre film. Sam Smith would eventually end up getting the nod for the final record, but not before Radiohead began their own recording. While Smith's version would go on to be heard by millions, Thom Yorke and Co. become heavily invested in the project from an emotional standpoint and would go on to complete the song.
