Sometimes you don't need a better house. Sometimes, you just need to make your existing house better. That's exactly what a couple in Australia did, hiring Austin Maynard Architects to develop and build an elevated dwelling on top of their existing small beach house. While they loved their place, they were craving the amazing views accessible from an elevated vantage point. The new addition features a kitchen, dining room, living room, and a spiral staircase that connects the two units. Talk about the perfect combination of old and new.
