Artist Uses Coffee To Recreate Famous Paintings Posted on 23 May 14:58
Karen Eland took two of our favorite things in the world and combined them in the most perfect way possible. Sitting in a cafe one day, Eland had an idea - why not paint with the very coffee she was drinking, as the coffee itself was very similar to the watercolors she was using. The result was the recreation of several classic paintings which were made with (and would end up smelling like) coffee. Mona Lisa became Mona Latte, The Thinker became The Drinker, and American Gothic became the Americano Gothic. Amazing - we applaud you Karen Eland.
