You may not know it, but Australia takes their coffee very seriously. So seriously in fact, that the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, Australia's second-most populous city, was once called the Grand Coffee Palace, a place where men and women would gather to socialize and enjoy a delicious cup of their favorite beverage. Along with coffee, the introduction of espresso in the 1930's and an influx of migrants who popularized the European-style cafe (above), continued to fuel Australia's coffee obsession.
